Regional Resource Management Solution (RRMS)
See a video about RRMSEmergency managers use resource requests to get the right resources to the right place at the right time. Catastrophic incidents present a major challenge because of the volume of resource requests they generate. The Regional Resource Management Solution is an initiative within the Regional Logistics Program that promotes and facilitates a regional dialogue on how local, state, and federal emergency management systems can communicate and interact more efficiently to seamlessly transmit and track resource requests.
The Regional Resource Management Solution (RRMS) Assessment Paper is available below.
The EDXL-RM Research and Evaluation project is currently underway. This project will use the Emergency Data Exchange Language-Resource Messaging (EDXL-RM) standard to pass resource request messages between regional incident management systems. The EDXL-RM standard provides a structure for sharing resource management data between agencies as resources are requested and deployed in emergencies.
