Established in 2008, the Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant Program (RCPGP) is a groundbreaking Department of Homeland Security initiative to encourage collaborative emergency planning in America’s largest regions. The NY-NJ-CT-PA Region includes four states, 30 counties, hundreds of cities, towns and villages, and spans three FEMA regions. With a population of 22 million people, this region is home to nearly one in every 14 Americans.
The Regional Logistics Program is an initiative within the RCPGP that links resources, expertise, and information among participating jurisdictions in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Under the guidance, supervision and oversight of the Regional Catastrophic Planning Team, the Regional Logistics Program works to create a shared system and strengthen regional partnerships, optimizing the Region’s ability to manage resources and respond to a catastrophic incident.
